Investment Provider – 5 star winner
Life & Pensions Provider – 4 star winner
Most Improved Life & Pensions Provider – winner

Canada Life has been voted by advisers as the top investment provider in the 2006 Financial Adviser Service Awards winning a five star award and coming top of the investment provider category. In the Life and Pensions category we have been awarded a four star award improving from three stars last year. The judges recognised this positive move by awarding Canada Life the ‘Most Improved Service Provider in Life & Pensions – 2006'.

The awards ceremony was held at The Natural History Museum and was hosted by Des O'Connor.

Annuities – Winner

Canada Life has been recognised as the winner of the annuities category in the Pensions Management awards. In reporting on the awards particular mention was made of the use of XML technology that Canada Life uses with a number of external providers. In addition, Pensions Management drew attention to the company's local workforce and very high staff retention.

Most Competitive Annuity Provider – Winner
Best Investment Bond – Commended

Canada Life has been successful in two categories in the ILP Moneyfacts awards in 2006 and nominated in a third. There are 22 categories included in the awards which are either voted for by advisers or judged based on statistical data. Six companies are nominated in each category. The awards lunch was held at The Brewery, London where John Sergeant, writer and political commentator handed out the awards.

Moneywise Pension Awards 2006
Best Annuity Provider – Highly Commended

Canada Life has been voted highly commended in the Best Annuity Provider category at the 2006 Moneywise Awards for the second year running.

The Moneywise Awards comprise of 7 awards across 7 categories and are judged by a panel of independent financial advisers who review annuity rates historically over 1, 3 and 5 years. Canada Life were praised as runner up for ‘backing good rates with good service levels that are maintained throughout busy periods'. The awards were presented at an awards lunch at Quaglino's.

Business Development Team, Inbound Contact Centre – Finalist
Business Development, Business Development Manager - Finalist

Canada Life's Business Development Team has been recognised as finalists in two categories in the National Sales Awards 2006. Nick Harding, manager of the team was placed in the top four in the Business Development Manager category whilst his team were finalists in the Inbound Contact Centre category.
