Pension Contracts

Canada Life offer pension contracts to build up your retirement funds. A brief overview is provided below but for further information, contact your Financial Adviser

Guaranteed Retirement Plan
The Guaranteed Retirement Plan is designed for individuals who want to invest a single premium in return for a guaranteed amount of income paid at a selected benefit date in the future (subject to normal retirement rules) and is payable for life.

Flexible Pension Bond
The Flexible Pension Bond aims to build up a retirement fund for you, whether you are self employed, have a transfer value from a previous pension scheme, or wish to add to the benefits from your current employer's pension scheme.

Trustee Investment Plan
The Trustee Investment Plan (TIP) has been designed to help trustees of registered pension schemes to increase their investment over the medium to long term.

Investments into a TIP can be made at any time by trustees of a:

  • Self Invested Personal Pension (SIPP),
  • Small Self Administered Scheme (SSAS),
  • Final Salary Occupational Pension Scheme.

The Trustee Investment Plan aims to provide capital growth by investing in one or more of Canada Life's own unit-linked pension funds, or those managed by leading external investment management groups. Advantages include access to a professional level of fund management normally only available to some of the country's largest pension funds.

The Trustee Investment Plan has two options:

  • Option 1 is suitable for advisers remunerated by fees, offering 100% allocation rate and no administration charges.
  • Option 2 is suitable for advisers remunerated by commission and provides flexibility in a choice of allocation rates.
