Existing Scheme Administration

This page contains information about changes in membership and participating employers. If you are looking for information regarding the annual revision of an existing scheme please click here.

New members & Changes in Benefit

Please let us know in advance any changes made during the year. For example:

  • An increase in the level of benefit applying to existing members in excess of the free cover limit or previously underwritten benefits, or to a certain group of members
  • A change in the calculation of benefit applying to existing members or a certain group of members
  • Admission of a new group of employees
  • A change in the age or service requirement.

We may need to advise you of special evidence of health requirements and/or of our terms and conditions if you admit a discretionary entrant or award a discretionary increase in benefit.

You do not need to notify us of new members joining the scheme unless they are discretionary or their benefits exceed the free cover limit. You do not need to notify us of new members joining the scheme until the next annual revision date unless they are discretionary or their benefits exceed the free cover limit.


Members leaving the scheme

For the withdrawal of a group of employees that represents a membership change of more than 20%, (for example as a result of the withdrawal of a subsidiary company) please notify us at the time of the withdrawal so that we can advise you of any revised terms.

Flat Rate costed schemes Single Premium costed scheme
You do not need to notify us of members leaving the scheme. You do not need to notify us of individual members leaving the scheme until the annual revision date.
