Canada Life takes its charitable giving responsibilities seriously – both in the communities we operate in and also at a national level to support important causes throughout the year.

Annual Employee Nominated Charities

Each year Canada Life employees are asked to nominate four charities they would like to support through a monthly payroll giving scheme which is then matched equally by the company. Employees vote on choosing one charity local to each of our mainland UK offices and one national charity.

For 2017, the chosen charities are:

London: Great Ormond Street Hospital

Bristol: BRACE

As well as the annual employee nominated charities, we also support through employee and company donations fundraising appeals including Comic Relief and Children in Need among others.

In 2016, we gave over £20,000 to charities in this way and our aim is always to raise more every year to help important causes around the UK.

Canada Life actively supports Payroll Giving enabling our employees to make regular payments to charity directly from their pay every month. In 2016, Canada Life was awarded the Gold Award for Payroll Giving.
