Lindsey Rix-Broom

Lindsey Rix-Broom was appointed CEO, Europe in July 2025, working to expand our presence and impact for customers in the UK, Ireland and Germany. She originally joined Canada Life in September 2021 as CEO, UK where she led the execution of an ambitious growth strategy aimed at establishing the company as a major competitor in the retirement market.

Her leadership also supported the continued success of Canada Life’s well-established wealth, insurance and asset management businesses. Prior to joining Canada Life, from 2019, Lindsey was CEO of UK Savings and Retirement at Aviva. Before this, she held a number of Managing Director roles in both the General Insurance and Life Insurance division. 

Ms Rix-Broom graduated from Kings College London and began her career in banking, where she worked for both Barclays and Santander in the Corporate Banking market before moving to lead Santander’s Wealth Management business in 2013. Lindsey is a passionate advocate of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. In particular, she’s keen to continue driving positive change for women in Finance Services. Lindsey has been named twice in the Yahoo Finance’s 100 Women Executive Role Models.
