Important Notice: Hong Kong Portfolio Transfer

Important Update – 7th January 2026

The Scheme will be considered in the substantive hearing of the Petition in the Hong Kong Court which is scheduled to take place at 10 a.m. on 13 February 2026.  The transfer contemplated under the Scheme will not proceed unless it is approved by the Hong Kong Court.

The proposed transfer of the Hong Kong long term insurance businesses of The Canada Life Assurance Company (“CLA”) and Canada Life Limited (“CLL”) to MyPace Life Limited (“MPL”) is expected to happen in quarter 1 2026.

Once there is confirmation of the proposed new transfer date it will be posted on this webpage.
