Canada Life announces new Board appointments

  • Andy Parsons and Jake Lawrence join the Canada Life Limited Board, bringing significant industry knowledge and expertise

Canada Life announces the appointment of two new board directors, bringing significant industry knowledge and expertise to the UK business during a period of transformation and modernisation.

Andy Parsons joins the Canada Life Limited Board as an independent non-executive director, bringing comprehensive knowledge of the financial services and insurance sectors through his extensive career and position as Finance Director within businesses such as Just Group, Liverpool Victoria (LV=), Scottish Widows, Friends Life, and AXA UK.

Jake Lawrence joins the Board as a non-executive director in his role as Executive Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer of Power Corporation and Power Financial. He has previously held various senior positions in finance, group treasury, and global banking and markets in both Canada and the United States during his two decades working at Scotiabank.

Both appointments were effective from 20 November 2024. Jake Lawrence’s appointment is subject to regulatory approval.
