I was excited to have the opportunity to study and gain external qualifications paid for by my employer. Since joining Canada Life in March 2019, I have studied for and passed Chartered Insurance Institute exams FA1 and CF1. Initially, I felt a bit daunted with the prospect of studying and passing an exam, but once the text book and other training guides arrived, and I started to plan the studying, it became much easier to digest. I had great support from colleagues who were also studying. We got together at lunch times to complete revision tests, which was really helpful. Overall, it was an enjoyable and rewarding experience.
