Customer Service Team Leader
I graduated as a Registered Nurse in 2011 and worked in this role for seven years. In 2018, I decided it was time for a change, which brought its challenges! I received several rejections because I did not have relevant experience. But Canada Life saw this differently - my experience in a different field was valued and seen as something positive, an opportunity to offer an alternative perspective. Since then I’ve been constantly encouraged to improve and perform at the highest standard. Since I joined, I’ve completed the Level 1 – Life Office Administration exam, become a Mental Health First Aider and most recently, been promoted to Team Leader. None of this would have ever been possible without a culture that strongly values behaviours over more traditional aspects.
