Peter Maddern

Pete was appointed Managing Director, Retirement for Canada Life UK in February 2025. He leads Canada Life UK’s annuity and Home Finance business lines and is responsible for developing and executing strategy, growth plans and profit & loss management (P&L). 

Pete is a qualified actuary, and joined Canada Life in 2006. He has held senior commercial leadership roles across our Wealth and BPA business line, and most recently led the Capital Management team for Canada Life UK’s parent company in Canada.

With his deep understanding of our retirement customers and wider markets we work in, he plays a vital role in our focus to continue understanding and meeting our customers’ evolving needs and embedding solutions to lead us forward into the future.
