Sean Christian

Sean is responsible for executive leadership of the development and execution of the Wealth Management Division’s long-term business strategy, to deliver planned levels of earnings, market share and profit & loss management (P&L).   Sean is also the Interim Chief Operating Officer for Canada Life UK, leading customer service, investment operations, underwriting and other operational functions.

He joined Canada Life International in 2005, as the Chief Financial Officer, becoming a Board member in 2007. Since 2008 he has held the role of CEO for Canada Life International Ltd, CLI Institutional Ltd and Canada Life International Services Ltd.

Prior to joining Canada Life, he held senior finance roles at Zurich International. 

Sean is a qualified Accountant and a Chartered Director. In 2022 Sean’s contribution to promoting diversity & inclusion (D&I) within the workplace was recognised by him being voted Director of the Year for D&I in the Institute of Directors awards.

Actively participating in the Association of International Life Offices and the Isle of Man Insurance Association, he has over 30 years’ experience in Life Assurance businesses.
