John is an independent non-executive director of Canada Life Limited and Canada Life UK Holdings Limited, where he chairs the Board Audit Committees.
John brings over 30 years of financial services experience spanning life, pensions and retirement markets. He currently serves as Audit & Risk Committee Chair of Mobius Life Limited and is a board member at Chesnara’s UK subsidiaries, Countrywide Assured and Chesnara Life.
John has held board chair positions in HSBC Life (UK) Limited, the Life subsidiaries of Just Group plc and Hub Financial Solutions. He has also held previous executive positions in leading companies such as LV=, Police Mutual, Prudential, AXA Life and Swiss Life.
Mr Perks holds a Bachelor and Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Warwick and is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries.
