Sally M Dewar

Sally is an independent non-executive director of Canada Life Limited and Canada Life UK Holdings Limited with over 30 years’ experience in the financial and professional service sectors. She has also been appointed to the boards of Great-West Lifeco Inc. and The Canada Life Assurance Company.

Sally is an experienced board member and currently serves as a director of Adelstow Advisory Limited, a strategic advisory firm, and as an advisory board member of Umony Limited. She previously held independent non-executive directorships with JP Morgan International Bank and Itiviti, where she also held the Audit Committee Chair roles. Sally was also an independent director of A&O Shearman and an executive board member of the Financial Services Authority.

Sally has held previous executive positions as Chief Executive Officer of A&O Consulting, Global; Managing Director, International Head of Regulatory Affairs at JPMorgan London; and, prior to that, Managing Director, Risk, at the Financial Services Authority.

Ms Dewar holds a Bachelor of Science (First Class Joint Honours in Pure Mathematics and French) from the University of Manchester and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in England and Wales.
