Dan Crook

As Interim Managing Director of the Group Protection business Dan is responsible for developing and executing strategy, culture, growth and profit & loss management (P&L). His goals are to ensure Canada Life provides relevant products that support employers and improves the physical, financial and mental wellbeing of their employees. Dan is also driven to use new technologies to both improve customer journeys and to become ever easier to do business with.

Dan joined the industry in 2000, having graduated from London Guildhall University.  Dan held a number of sales and proposition roles across CLUK before taking the role of Protection Sales Director in 2016. Since this appointment, the Group Protection business has seen significant and profitable growth. In Nov 2022 Dan was appointed as an Non Executive Director and in Oct 2023 was appointed Chair of the Canada Life Platform business.
