Working with Parmenion
Find out what your firm needs to do if clients are planned to transfer to the Parmenion SIPP.
The Parmenion SIPP is the planned destination for Investment Only and Blended clients:
- Investment Only clients hold investments in Pension Savings, Pension Drawdown or both, without Secure Income.
- Blended clients hold Secure Income alongside investments in Pension Savings, Pension Drawdown or both.
Secure Income Only clients have a new Canada Life Drawdown account as their planned destination through a separate process expected to take place in early 2027. They may be able to choose the Parmenion SIPP instead, but a financial adviser will need to advise on and arrange the transfer.
The client’s closure letter and Account Summary will confirm what they hold and the journey that applies.
About Parmenion
Parmenion is a well-established, adviser-led investment platform that works with financial advisers and their clients. They provide the pension wrapper, platform technology and investment services that support the Parmenion SIPP. The Parmenion SIPP includes:
- A Pension Investment Account, or PIA, for uncrystallised pension benefits
- A Flexible Income Account, or FIA, for crystallised pension benefits and flexible retirement income
- Access to investment management services
- Online account information for clients and advisers, including a dedicated client app
- Contribution, transfer and withdrawal functionality
Parmenion supports over 1,500 financial advice firms and 70,000 customers across the UK. Their platform, pension and investment services are Defaqto Gold Rated for 2026.
Canada Life selected Parmenion after considering a number of providers. We believe their pension, investment and retirement services can provide an appropriate ongoing home for affected clients, and we are confident that clients and advisers will be well supported.
Parmenion does not provide personal financial advice. Financial advisers remain responsible for any advice and recommendations they provide to individual clients.
What your firm needs to do
Parmenion will contact advisory firms with affected clients, whether or not the firm already has an agreement with them. Firms should respond to Parmenion and follow the instructions provided.
If your firm intends to continue acting for clients after the planned transfer, it will need to:
- Complete any required intermediary onboarding
- Agree to Parmenion’s Terms of Business
- Complete any requirements for firm access and client linking
- Arrange the appropriate adviser and administrator permissions
Parmenion will explain the information and actions required. The planned transfer can proceed if the firm has not completed this process. However, the adviser will not have access to the client’s Parmenion account until the relevant requirements have been completed.
