Paul Russell

Paul joined Canada Life in April 2022 as our Chief Information Officer. Paul has 25 years of experience working in a wide variety of roles within technology organisations, primarily in the financial services sector. Paul is also the Exco Sponsor for Balance, our gender network, championing an inclusive workplace where everyone, regardless of gender, feels they truly belong.

Paul started his career as a software engineer, before moving into enterprise architecture and engineering management roles, primarily focused on digital and online services.

Prior to joining Canada Life, Paul was Chief Architect at Aviva, before spending two years as the Chief Technology Officer of a startup.
