The Retirement Account closure: customer support

Find the information that’s relevant to you based on what you hold in your Retirement Account.

The plan we’ve made for your transfer depends on whether you hold Pension Savings, Pension Drawdown, Secure Income, or a combination of these. If you aren’t sure, your letter, Account Summary and Customer Guide are the best place to start. They show:

  • What you currently hold in your Retirement Account
  • What we have planned for your transfer
  • The transfer date or move date that applies to you
  • Your other options

Should I speak to a financial adviser?

A financial adviser can help you understand your planned transfer, explore your other options and consider how each could affect your income, tax position and wider retirement plans.

  • If your planned destination is the Parmenion SIPP, the transfer can proceed without a current adviser. But you will need an adviser to make changes to your investments after the transfer.
  • If you hold Secure Income alongside Pension Savings or investments in Pension Drawdown, and you want to choose a route other than the Parmenion SIPP, we strongly recommend you take financial advice. This is because the decision may affect how your Secure Income is paid and taxed.
  • If you have Secure Income with no Pension Savings or investments in Pension Drawdown, you do not need an adviser for the planned move to the new Canada Life Drawdown account. However, we strongly recommend advice if you are considering another option. You will also need a suitable adviser if you want to transfer to Parmenion.

About Parmenion

Parmenion is an investment platform that looks after pensions and investments for people like you. We believe their pension, investment and retirement services can provide an ongoing home for affected customers, and we’re confident customers will be well supported.

It's important to know that Parmenion works with advisers rather than directly with clients. This means that, once your pension is there, you will need an adviser to make changes to your account.
