Bereavement Counselling

24/7 Help And Support If You Need It

Bereavement is a highly personal issue which can affect people in a variety of ways. This service offers support as part of our Group Life Assurance product to help employees, or the family of a deceased employee, at what can be a difficult time.

Bereavement Counselling offers unlimited access to a 24/7 bereavement helpline and up to four face-to-face or structured telephone sessions with a qualified counsellor.

All employees who are covered under a Canada Life Group Life Assurance policy or the immediate family of a deceased member can make use of the service. “Immediate family” can include a spouse, partner, registered civil partner, parent, sibling, child over 16 or carer. If the caller is in the UK, access to the service is completely free.
