Important update - May 2023

Following a review of our onshore individual protection business, in November 2022 we announced that we were no longer accepting applications from new Life Insurance or Life Insurance plus Critical Illness customers. (Read our update).

We have since reached an agreement for Countrywide Assured, a subsidiary of Chesnara plc, to acquire our book of onshore individual protection customer policies.

Customers’ policies are expected to transfer to Countrywide in early 2025, subject to the completion of a court-approved Part VII transfer.  Customers will be kept informed as the transfer progresses.

In the meantime, we’ll continue to support existing customers and pay claims in line with our usual processes. Information on how to make a claim can be found on our Life Insurance and Life Insurance plus Critical Illness pages.
