The Delta Account: frequently asked questions

• Will my current investments stay the same when my policy is endorsed?

  Yes, your investments will remain the same when your product is endorsed (updated). You’ll also be able to access the same range of investment options within the Delta Account.

• Will I receive another letter confirming my policy has been endorsed to the Delta Account?

  Yes, when your policy has been endorsed (updated) to the Delta Account. This letter will confirm your new policy number.

• Can I change my mind later?

  We value our relationship with you and want to keep you as a customer. If you don’t think the Delta Account is right for you then let us know as soon as possible and we’ll keep you on your current product. However, once we’ve endorsed (updated) your policy to the Delta Account, you won’t be able to revert to your previous bond. Please get in touch with us if you’d like to discuss this process more. 

• Do I need financial advice?

  No, you don’t need to get financial advice before we endorse your policy to the Delta Account. This is because the Delta Account is a newer version of a product that was previously recommended to you. If your circumstances have changed and you have questions about whether the Delta Account is right for you now, you may benefit from speaking to a financial adviser.

• How can I register for a MyAccess account?

  Once you have a Delta Account, you can register by visiting our website and clicking on the MyAccess Offshore option. Our team will be happy to help if you have any problems.  

• Can I make changes to my policy once it’s set up?

  Yes, our Delta Account is very flexible and you can easily change things like which funds you want to invest in and how much you want to withdraw. Talk to your adviser who’ll be able to help.

• What happens if I die?

  If you’re the only life assured, then we’ll pay a death benefit, which is the value of your investment plus £100, when you die. If there’s more than one life assured, the account can continue until the death of the last life assured, when the death benefit will be paid. By using a trust with your account, you’ll be able to choose who’ll receive the death benefit when you die.
