  • 430 funds added to the drawdown platform, taking the total to 1,550 plus funds
  • Includes funds from over 20 different investment houses including Columbia Threadneedle, M&G, LGIM and Seneca
  • Introduces more choice to invest in sustainable and ESG approaches

Canada Life has announced a major extension of its fund range available through the Retirement Account drawdown platform. This sees 430 funds from major asset managers and investment specialists added to the Extended range, taking the number of funds available to circa 1,550.

Fund managers include Columbia Threadneedle, M&G, LGIM and Seneca, while Canada Life has also included funds from major distributers including Tavistock Acumen, Sanlam, Rathbones, Tatton Investment Management, Close Brothers Asset Management and Harwood Discovery funds.

Shelley Greenwood, Head of Investment Proposition, Wealth, at Canada Life UK said:

“This is a major expansion of the funds available on the platform which will help us meet the needs of a much broader range of advisers and their clients’ needs. From simple, low cost insured passive investing and multi-asset approaches, to protected funds and direct access to collectives, we have most bases covered to help support advisers centralised investment propositions.

“With the heightened awareness and interest in sustainable investing, we’ve taken the opportunity to include some of the leading funds offering various ESG, impact and ethical approaches.

“Our Extended fund range is dynamic and feedback is welcome from advisers to show where we need to make further additions. Our aim is to hit 2,000 plus funds on the platform by the end of the year so if there are gaps in our investment proposition then I’d encourage advisers to contact their BDM and tell us what we are missing.”

Alongside the introduction of the extra funds, the business has also established links with Intelliflo and Origo Contract Enquiry Standard which will enable advisers to pull product valuations into 70% of back office systems.

The Retirement Account has recently been awarded a 5-star rating from Defaqto, in recognition of both the quality and extensive range of features offered. For more information please visit:
