From today (January 15th), all Canada Life Individual Protection customers will benefit from access to LifeWorks’ well-being app and website which gives them access to their Support Services on any device. This innovation will move the market forward from price-based competition to focus more on customer-centric support and value.
The Canada Life and PersonalCare apps, powered by LifeWorks, provide Canada Life customers with a wealth of information to help them with work, life and everything in between. Customers can engage on a regular basis by following the newsfeed, reading articles on health and well-being or taking advantage of a range of discounts for household necessities, eating out and cinema. Canada Life continues to look for new ways to support its customers every day, regardless of whether a claim is made.
Jon Ford, Director of Individual Protection at Canada Life, comments:
“When we relaunched our Individual Protection products in August 2015, we planned to bring much-needed innovation to the marketplace. Providing inclusive extras which our customers can use on a regular basis without being a claimant is a catalyst to increasing engagement. The launch of this app continues our technology drive and gives people access to benefits and support at their fingertips.”
“We think this is a game changer for protection insurance. The more that customers use the app, the more they will see the breadth of the support we provide. The feel-good factor of discounted, regular purchases alongside the massive amount of help available is a winning combination. In my view, this sets the benchmark incredibly high in terms of protection product engagement.”
“We are doing individual protection differently; not only are we leading with our technology and medical underwriting approach for advisers, these apps demonstrate our commitment to adding value for the customer wherever we can.”
Lauren Berkemeyer, Marketing Director of LifeWorks comments:
“When Canada Life chose LifeWorks to be its Personal Assistance Programme and app provider in October 2017, we were excited by the opportunity of working with an insurer so clearly committed to supporting the daily needs of those they insure. Our job is to improve access to the PersonalCare Personal Assistance Programme offered to Life Insurance plus Critical Illness customers, and enhance the value to their Life Insurance customers through perks and savings. Offsetting part of the cost of their protection through these savings will change the way customers view and benefit from their cover.”
