We're proud to be a GRiD member

What is GRiD?

Founded in 1998, Group Risk Development (GRiD) is the industry body for the group risk protection sector, promoting the value to British businesses of providing financial protection for their staff, enhancing their well-being and awareness.

What does GRiD do?

GRiD aims to promote group risk through a collective voice to Government, policymakers, stakeholders and employers. GRiD’s media activity aims to generate a greater understanding of group risk products and their benefits for both employers and employees.

They work with government departments and regulators involved in legislation and regulation affecting group risk benefits and with other organisations involved in the benefits and financial protection arenas.

GRiD's Objective

GRiD seeks to enhance the industry's standing by encouraging best practice and by participating in industry wide initiatives such as the professional qualification in group risk managed jointly with the Chartered Insurance Institute.

Why are Canada Life GRiD members?

GRiD provides insight into legislative changes and market trends and developments. Canada Life therefore has access to additional support and privileged insight into supplementary content from working groups including legal opinion, regulatory updates, consultation responses, good practice, detailed employer research and pan-industry claims data.

Canada Life also benefits from exclusive access to industry speakers at member meetings, and the ability to network with other market influencers.

GRiD is a respected voice in the protection sector and as such, Canada Life has the opportunity to influence group risk policy making.
