• How can I charge for my services?

  You’ll need to make a separate arrangement for any adviser charges as we’re unable to deduct them from this plan.

• What happens if a pension scheme member dies before they retire?

  Here’s what will happen if your client dies before the scheme retirement date:

  For small self-administered pensions or occupational pension schemes

  The trustees will make sure that part of the plan provides spouse or dependent benefits

  For self-invested pensions

  The plan could be totally surrendered

• Can my client phase their investments?

  Yes, our plan offers a free facility where it automatically moves money from selected funds to other funds over a defined period of time.

  Your client can use this facility at any point in their investment as it can offer significant benefits when markets are volatile and they’re concerned about investing all of their money at once. Or they can simply use it when they need to release capital by gradually moving their investment to less volatile funds.

• How flexible are withdrawals from the plan?

  The Trustee Investment Plan allows your client to take regular withdrawals of up to 10% of the total investment amount each year without charge. The minimum withdrawal must be at least £250. These can either be set up at the beginning, added, varied or stopped at any time.

  Their withdrawals can either be a percentage spread across all funds or as a percentage/monetary amount across specific funds (maximum of five).
