The changing shape of retirement research looked at how trends are shaping the way people retire,  Key drivers are the change in societal and cultural norms that are shifting the way we live our life.  This has created 5 new retirement journeys.

Present and future

Each of the journeys has a different trajectory for the future. This graph illustrates how those changes will affect the growth of each group from 2010 to 2035.

Growth = opportunity

The research predicts the size of the Complex Families, Complex Finances segment will increase over the next 15 years as divorce rates rise, as does the number of people requiring care in later life and second families that may continue to require financial support.
