WeCare Wellbeing Services

Available to Group Income Protection and CLASS customers

WeCare provides an extensive range of virtual services to improve the medical, mental, legal and financial wellbeing of today’s employees. Available through a simple app, WeCare provides easy access to a wide range of services to help people look after their health and wellbeing.

Immediate support and guidance following diagnosis or treatment

Early Intervention Service

Available to Group Income Protection customers

Our Early Intervention Service provides support and guidance during the early stages of absence to help support a return to work. You’ll have access to our in-house registered nurses who can work with all parties to develop a personalised return to work plan. The team can also provide guidance on reasonable adjustments and the right time to make a claim.

Second Medical Opinions

Available to Group Income Protection and Group Critical Illness customers

Our Second Medical Opinion service provides access to over 50,000 leading consultants worldwide. They offer expert second opinions on diagnoses and treatments for almost any condition, including cancer. A leading consultant will review an employee’s medical records and provide an expert second opinion on their diagnosis and treatment.

How it works

  1. We find a leading consultant based on the employee’s condition
  2. The consultant will review the case and arrange a review of the employee’s medical records if needed
  3. The employee receives a second opinion on their diagnosis or treatment, all set out in a comprehensive report

WeCare Mental Health Support

Available to Group Income Protection and CLASS policyholders

Receiving a cancer diagnosis can come as a shock. The impact it can have on someone’s mental health can sometimes be side-lined while they deal with their illness and treatment. WeCare provides up to 10 sessions with our team of psychologists, psychotherapists and counsellors who can support with a wide range of mental health conditions.

Personal Nurse Service

Available to Group Critical Illness customers

Our Personal Nurse Service gives your employees and their immediate family members long-term practical and emotional support over the phone with the same qualified nurse, for as long as it’s needed. The service is free for every employee making a critical illness claim, whether it’s accepted or not.

Rehabilitation

Available to Group Income Protection customers

When an employee is ready to return to work following a claim, a dedicated inhouse rehabilitation consultant will contact them to provide support. They’ll work with the employee and the employer to develop a personalised phased return to work plan and then provide the on-going support needed to successfully complete the plan.
