A step-by-step guide to making a Life Insurance claim
Make sure you have the following information to hand if it’s available:

Once we receive your claim, we’ll review it and keep you updated on our progress. Just so you’re aware, we’ll usually need you to send us the original death certificate, which we’ll send back to you. We may also need other legal or medical documents, but we’ll get in touch so that you know what to send us.
We’ll aim to give you a decision as quickly as we can. If we approve your claim, we’ll make a payment to the nominated account (usually the person making a claim).
If we don’t approve the claim, we’ll tell you why and let you know how to appeal.
